Meet The Team

Chris Fenley - Independent Financial Consultant

I have worked in the Financial Sector for around 11 years beginning my career at Brewin Dolphin Securities Ltd, a private client stock broker based in St Pauls, London.

Although this was an interesting job, I was ‘back office’ and didn’t have many dealings with the outside world, so around 2005 I moved on and into the property world and after a brief time as a lettings agent I began working for a Property Investment Company where I worked closely with Financial Advisers and soon realised this was the perfect job for me.

I was always good at giving sensible and honest advice to anyone I know hoping it would benefit them and improve their life in some way so I liked the idea of building client/broker relationships and being able to help a client with some of the most important financial decisions of his or her life.

I joined UK Mortgage & Insurance Solutions (UMAIS) where I trained as an Independent Financial Consultant and obtained my ‘Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice (CeMap)’ in May 2008, which holds pride of place on my office wall. I spent about 18 months with UMAIS and after a chance meeting with Howard Reuben at the end of 2008 I decided the time was right to join HD Consultants.

At HD Consultants I feel I have blossomed and now help many clients with their financial planning. I’ve gained authorisations in Will Writing and Commercial Insurance and progressed as a Protection Insurance adviser, offering advice for simple life cover plans to more complex cases involving Business Protection, Term Assurance & Critical Illness Cover and Income Protection and I’m now building great client/broker relationships and helping my clients either buy their first home or build property portfolios and arrange the most suitable protection for them and their families.
