Is your buildings insurance fit for purpose?

Do you have the right buildings insurance in place?
Reviewing your insurance and not letting it roll over each year is so important.
Not just because you may get it cheaper going to an alternative insurer but ensuring the right information is listed on the policy.
An example of this is they type of tenant you have living in the property. If your tenant is in receipt of any form of housing benefit and you have not declared this to the insurance company, the insurance company may not pay out in the event of a claim.
This also goes for referencing your tenants. If you do not do any form of ID, referencing or credit referencing on your tenants (and hold this on file), the insurer may not pay out in the event of a claim as some have this is a prerequisite before agreeing to the policy.
