Take advantage of the new normal

The new normal is ....... very different for many and yet no change for some.
Many people already worked, studied and ran businesses from home, lots of people have now had this thrust upon them (more or less overnight), and for many people, there is no work at the moment and the 'lock down' has brought a huge amount of new emotions.
The whole subject is far too wide to discuss in a blog post here, and I don't profess to be a font of all knowledge on an educational, psychological and industry basis, but what I do know - after 27 years (so far) of being a Professional Financial Adviser and Broker - is how to offer personalised money advice for mortgages, life cover and property insurance.
My new normal right now? It's working with my Clients by video conferencing (Zoom, mainly), as well as the long established phone, WhatsApp and email tools, too.
Firstly, it's good to talk!
The mortgage market is changing daily. Physical property valuations were stopped, critical illness insurance policies quickly started to include Covid-19 exclusions, rent guarantee insurance was pulled from the market ... I could go on with what went wrong very quickly, but I want to tell you what has still remained in place and why H D Consultants is still so very busy as an Adviser Firm. Here are just a few reasons why we continue to support our Clients 'as normal';
mortgages, where desk top valuations can be carried out, are still very much in place
mortgage product transfers / internal switches, haven't changed
life insurance policies (ie payable on death) continue to be offered at normal standard rates
most people still need a Will
